Typisch norddeutsch - untypisch mild! Mit seinem unvergleichlich fein-herben und mild-gehopften Charakter schmeckt es uns im Norden seit Generationen.

Gulbrun klar med lavt hvitt skum. Lukter maltekstrakt og honning. Lett. Søtlig honning i smak. Kort lett bitterhet i avslutningen.

330 ml bottle, from CITTI-Markt Flensburg. BB date 04.2014. ABV is 4.9%. Clear pale golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma of sweetish corn and a little herbal hops. Fresh pilsener flavour, with a nice balance between the malts and hops. An okay refreshment, no more, no less.

33cl bottle: BBD 11th Feb 2015, drank in my Hamburg hotel room on 13th Dec 2014. Clear, light golden body with a fading white crown. Not a lot going on to be honest, mild hop front with a subtle, soft palate that just made the body feel weak and thin really. OK, it was refreshing enough, but i wanted flavour and oomph not the delicate offering this beer gave me.

The color is medium yellow. Large white airy head. The smell is quite weak. Some bitter notes as well as some herbs. A touch of sour dough. The taste is, as a German “edel” is supposed to be, mild. Some sweet notes, some anonymous bitterness. The aftertaste is quite malty with some bitter hops and butter in the finish. The carbonation is rather strong; small bubbles. The liquid is watery. More malt than in a standard Euro lager, otherwise a quite simple brew.
