Typisch norddeutsch - untypisch mild! Mit seinem unvergleichlich fein-herben und mild-gehopften Charakter schmeckt es uns im Norden seit Generationen.

330ml bottle. Opalescent, orange, golden colour with average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, snow white head. Weak, minimally musty, grainy and strawy aroma, a touch of wet straw, silage, sweet-ish, doughy overtones. Taste is grainy malty with low residual sweetness, a minimally doughy touch, weak, plain, bitter hoppy counterpart with metallic overtones. Watery texture, smooth and soft palate, fine, soft, creamy carbonation. Simple, expressionless, at least quite clean and thirst quenching. Not exciting, not uncomfortable - not remarkable.

(Bottle) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty nose with bread, hay, apricots and a touch of citrus. Malty taste with notes of bread, hay, herbs, citrus and a mild grassy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, quite dry. Hardly exciting, but clean and quite drinkable. Enjoyable.

0.33 l bottle from 'REWE' (Wyk auf Föhr), best before May 2021. Clear, golden with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, a bit grassy-spicy and minimally floral aroma of grains, a touch of straw and traces of honey. Slightly sweet, moderately bitter, a bit grassy-spicy taste of grains and a touch of straw, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly grassy-spicy finish. Thin to medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Drinkable but quite bland.

bottle from Heinrichs 3000 Kornwestheim. Pale yellow, tall white head. Dry hoppy nose. Dry, slightly woody and cardboardy hops dominate, quite bitter, with almost no malty sweetness to balance.

0,33 l Steinie bottle from a REWE market somewhere in Hamburg. Clear golden in the glass, white foamy long lasting two finger head. Grainy grassy smell, little bit musty. Taste is grainy, some caramel with sweetness. Low but present hop bitterness. Nothing wrong but also nothing special. Easy drinking standard stuff.
