Emphasizing that complexity of character can arise from simple elements, this ale is made with three malts and one hop. Its light amber color and slightly spicy malt character are derived from the use of German Dark Munich Malt and Rye Malt respectively. North American 2-row barley combines with the other grains to lay the foundation for the hop onslaught to come. Summit hops are used exclusively in the boil for bitterness, flavor and aroma but it doesn't end there. Post-fermentation dry hopping allows the 10% ABV monstrosity to gently coax the citrus rind and grapefruit aroma to join the 100 IBUs already present. This beer should greet you with a pungent citrus blast, provide a spicy yet round middle and finish with a brisk, clean bitterness.

Canned. Orangey pour with smallish white head. Lots of malts in this one with serious dry hops coming in at the back. Pretty good IIPA

Can. Ok, that’s a bitter beer. Has some kick too. Gold in color with a nice head. It is weirdly strong on the citrus side. Taste is well like a really bitter, alcohol tasting IPA.

A dark orange DIPA with a thick frothy lacing light mocha head. In aroma, nice caramel malt with light vinous character, resinous hops, very nice. In mouth, a nice caramel malt with vinous notes, treacle, resinous hops, light citrus, pleasant and smooth.

Frothy headed, hazyish deep golden with a sweet, vinous nose, and a hint of yeast. Very boozy taste, sweet and malty with fruity hop flavours following on, and a sweet but not cloying aftertaste

Aus der Dose beim Berlin Beer Week 2015 - Closing Event auf der Baustelle der Stone Brewing Berlin 2015-07 getrunken. Dieses Ale kommt mit einer tollen Südfrucht Aromen in Nase und Gaumen daher. Der Hopfen rundet das Ganze sehr gut ab.

0.355l can from the beer army outpost in new bern in 2015, $5.20. pours a cloudy orange with a big steady head. aroma of papaya, melon, peaches, honey, caramel. flavour of candied oranges, melon, tangerine, leaves, biscuit. very sweet, but not cloying. full body, oily mouthfeel. strong bitter citrusy finish. alcohol is well hidden. very nice.

Pours amber with a large head.Nose shows resinous and piny hops, citrus, peach, mango and clean sweet malt.Flavours include truckloads of sweet clean malt, almost syrupy. Piny and resinous hops as well, along with lots of booze rolling through in the finish.

From a 355ml can on 5/9/2016. Pours a clear medium golden with a tiny head. The nose features some light fruity hops but it’s very subdued for a DIPA weighing in at 10%. Take a sip and there’s a more than decent caramel and biscuit malt backbone, with big doses of stone fruit sweetness (apricot and peach) and some pineapple. There’s a big assertive bitterness to stem the sweetness - it has a hint of grapefruit, resin and rye. There’s a touch of alcohol to let you know your drinking something big. The palate is a bit syrupy and the carbonation is modest. Very nice stuff.
