33 cl. bottle sampled @ Trollekelder in Gent. BBF 27/06/2015. Hazy orange with a white head. Nose is sweet oranges, thick BE yeast, candy sugar, lightly hoppy. Taste is lots of candy sugar, caramel, very sweet BE yeast, lots of caramel malts, sweet spices & sweet orange peel, faint hops. Touch higher carb. Not a bad brew within style.

Standard Belgian blond beer. I think this is mostly brewed so that the Cluyesenaer bar has its own beer.

Clear blond body with a frothy head - lasting. Warm alcohol aroma with ginger, cinnamon, ... Moderately bitter, lightly sweet flavour. Not very pleasant - rather unbalanced.

33cl bottle from Dranken Geers.

Bottle @ home. Clear golden, slightly towards orange color. Small white head. Smell malts, some sweetness, something weird and slightly unpleasant and hops. Taste malts, sweet, lightly hops and fruits. Little bit fizzy carbonation, medium body. Decent.

from beer planet.eu. bbf 18.nov.2010, tasted 17-jul.2011 cloudy orange, smooth white head. fruity aroma. oranges, citrus, yeast, belgian yeast. heavy on the fruitiness. flavor is malty, caramelly, fruity bitter, dusty, licorice, spices. Not much fruitiness in the taste, more yast, spices, malts, licorice etc. underneath that you can sense oranges and fruit peel bitterness. quite messy.

Pale light amber with a cream head which isn’t sticking around long. Aroma of malts, some citrus fruits, and some caramel. The flavour is sweet with notes of malt, yeast and only a slight fruitiness, which is rather unexpected given the fruity smell. Dry finish. Rather thin but altogether not an unpleasant beer at all. (from tap @ De Kluizenaar)
