330ml Bottle - Red/copper with a small head. Malty and fruity aroma with hints of caramel, raisins and nuts. Malty and fruity taste with dried fruit, caramel, nuts and a slightly hoppy element. The malt is rather prominent and it resembles a bock in many ways. Not bad, although nothing too exciting. I think I was expecting more.

bouteille 33cl.

Taster from bottle. Glunz Beer Expo, April ’10. I will finish my notes from this year-ago event today! This does pour a nice amber color. Nice big, foamy head. Good amber beer smell with none of the silly malts that sometimes find their way into a Belgian beer. Very smooth beer. A little bit of ale esters to it. Goes down very nicely. Just a little bit heartier than those Dutch pale lagers around the corner.

(bottle, 33cl) Slightly hazy, amber colour with a medium-sized and slightly tanned foamy head. Sweet roasty malty with notes of dark and steamed bread (Pumpernickel), an earthy touch and mildly spicy notes. Sweet flavour with a tinge of bitterness, medium bodied with a calm carbonation. Bready and moderately toasted malty taste with earthy notes and a subtle fruity touch; sweet malty and slightly spicy finish with traces of caramel in the aftertaste. Not one of my favourites. 11.I.11

Bottled 330ml (BB 12/2011)
A bit hazy amber color, small off-white head. Berryish aroma. Medium-bodied. Flavor is also berryish, some papery notes. Slightly sourish, although BB is not yet near. Not really pleasant.
