500ml bottle. Clear, pale yellow colour with a small bright white lasting head. Light aroma of grassy hops, grains. Taste is a little bland, nothing stands out other than some light maltiness, and a light bitterness. Nice but boring.

Pours a clear golden color, topped with a decent white frothy head, slowly settling down. Malty aroma, slight sweet grains. Taste sweet, light (a bit watery) with some minimal bitterness and a slight metallic feel in the aftertaste. Exactly what you expect from a macro. Not unpleasant, though.

Review based on the BJCP2008 guidelines (style 1B). Bottle 50 cl - Batch 5W. AROMA: mild cereal aroma with no hop presence. APPEARANCE: very pale yellow color and crystalline. thin white head with low retention. TASTE: slightly sweet cereal flavour with a very low bitter and almost dry finish. PALATE: thin body with medium-low carbonation. OVERALL: another bulk pale lager only meant to be thirst quenching.

50cl Can from Costa. Clear pale golden colour, white head. Aroma of light malts, carbonated water, minerals, some aspartame, paper, hay. Flavour is sweet, paper, hay, teeny-tiny hint of cocoa or toast, light bitterness in the finish, papery mouthfeel. Light-bodied. It’s drinkable.
