Powerhouse is named in association with our local landmark Battersea Power Station. We brew with a combination of brown, chocolate, crystal and pale malts and hop with a blend of Fuggles, Boadicea, Challenger and Fuggles. Powerhouse Porter has a rich, dark chocolate flavour and an aroma of toasted malt and winter fruits.

Can from Beer52. Pours dark brown with small head, thin retention. Aroma: roasted malts, chocolate, some light fruit, spice and grass notes from the hops. Taste: sweet malts, chocolate, a developing roast flavour through to the finish with smoke and spice. Palate: smooth if a little thin, medium fine carbonation works well. Enjoyable enough porter and a new brewery for me. Happy days.

Thin beige head on a dark reddish brown body. Malt & nutty aroma. Medium bodied, light over the tongue with a tingle on the back. Malt, nutty, roasted & smokey tastes with some hints of pig. Decent.

Cask at Butlers Bell, Stafford Pours a medium shade of reddish brown with a solid cream head. Aroma is vaguely reminiscent of treacle. More treacle in the mouth, along with caramel, some malts and hints of citrus. Texture is creamy. Finish is bitter with marmalade. Not bad at all, but I wouldn’t really call it a porter.
