Powerhouse is named in association with our local landmark Battersea Power Station. We brew with a combination of brown, chocolate, crystal and pale malts and hop with a blend of Fuggles, Boadicea, Challenger and Fuggles. Powerhouse Porter has a rich, dark chocolate flavour and an aroma of toasted malt and winter fruits.

Pours a chestnut brown colour with a small beige head. The aroma is a light roasted malt with a little caramel. A bready malty fruit loaf taste, moderately sweet with some caramel and nutty earthy flavours and a light dryness in the finish. Nice.

The only cask on at the angel! Pours deep amber, nose is malty, blackcurrant, toffee, taste is sweet, fruity, light roasted malts.

Handpump at The Harp, London. Black tough clear pour with reddish highlights, creamy head much retention. Nose: soft oxidation, leather, cherries a bit. Mouth: quite watery and truly dry, some character comes up when you sip it again and again. Infused coffee and some red fruit. The other side of Porter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at the Jim / John is back tasting, Den Haag, April 2016. Poured a clear dark brown with a thin broken off white head. The aroma is creamy caramel malt. The flavour is light liqource bitter with a light, watery smoky malt, light hop bitter palate.

Bottle shared at the John/Jim tasting. Clear brown with a ring tan head. Aroma of malt, caramel, light chocolate and a little dark fruit. Flavour is moderate sweet and light to bitter. Light medium bodied with soft carbonation.
