Bottiglia. All'olfatto si esprimono sentori di sottobosco. La finezza olfattiva è elevata e il modo in cui permane è sufficiente. Il manto birroso superiore ha una buona tenuta. La grandezza delle bollicine è grossolana. Il liquido è di consistenza limpida. Bollicine medio-fini costituiscono la forma del perlage, con carbonazione allegra, vivace e persistente. Il colore è giallo dorato brillante. Il corpo è strutturato. L'amaro è carico. La forza gustativa è molto elevata. La continuità gustativa è buona e persistente. Il gusto è piacevolissimo. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di birra beverina. Il finale è amarognolo. Il retrogusto è intenso e persistente. L'aroma in bocca porta i segni di miele, frutta secca, luppolo, resina, pino, agrumi, pompelmo, arancia, ananas e frutta passita.

Même si cette double IPA manque d'homogénéité, elle n'en reste pas moins appréciable avec notamment un équilibre malt/houblon bien trouvé. En verre nous sommes sur un blond orangé trouble, sans mousse mais avec une fine effervescence. Le nez est sur une dominante agrumes (orange avec une touche de pamplemousse) avec en complément du caramel et de légères notes florales. A la dégustation des arômes de miel bien présents apparaissent en même temps que des arômes herbacés et d'épices. Cela donne une bonne complexité aromatique sur un cocktail plaisant. Que ce soit sur l'attaque et la seconde bouche, l'amertume reste modérée mais sur une bonne alliance avec le malt et une densité appréciable. L'arrière bouche et le final sont toutefois davantage sur l'amertume, sur un ensemble plus simple et épuré, avec une dominante pamplemousse, mais plus saillant et élancé. Corpulence et longueurs sont pour leur part appréciable, tout comme l'alcool, à 8 %, qui est efficace. On ne se prend pas une grosse décharge, mais cela reste plaisant.

Colour is hazy pale golden, good frothy white head, good retention. Aroma pale malt, lemon, orange, grass. Flavour medium sweet and bitter, malty, grapefruit, lemon, bit yeasty, grassy, spicy notes. Bittersweet finish, citrus pith, chalky, overrall a good DIPA.

(Keg at Bar Bronco 2, 20181221) The beer poured golden and nearly clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had pine, resin and alcohol. Palate was medium bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, resin, sweetness, alcohol, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy, boozy and bitter. An unbalanced hoppy and boozy brew.

Bottle from Luppolo 12 Bottle Shop, Roma. Pours pale gold with a small white head. Aroma of tropical and light citrus fruit, pineapple, banana, lemon, hop and light caramel. Medium sweetness, light bitterness, light lemony sour. Medium body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation.

Pours a light yellow almost straw colour, opaque, with some head (remaining after 15 minutes). Aroma is spicy and herbal, lots of citrus fruit, a bit of grass. Flavour has a very nice malt/hops balance, also nicely spicy and herbal from the hops but also very fruity, mostly citrus fruit (lemon is quite noticeable imho). Finishes herbal and dry. Nice Imperial IPA.

Bottle. Cloudy yellow color, foam is rather weak. Aroma: citrus, tangerine, fruits, spicy yeast. Taste: fruity, citrus, bitter peel, yeast, orange, a bit of aspirin.

Draught at Moeder Lambic, hazy deepish yellow to orange color, smallish creamy head, peach and grapefruit flavor, flavor of grapefruit peel, orange juice and flowers, light pleasant citrusy sourness, medium mellow bitterness, really nice and enjoyable, almost like a freshly squeezed orange juice.
