Bottle 75cl. bought December 2014 (!) from my 'cellar' @home poured into a teku glass. Alcoholic and slightly sourish nose. Murky amberbrown colour, thin short lived creamy tan head, no lacing. Aroma sweet malt, slight ly sourish touch, alcohol, caramel, raisins, dark fruit, candied cherries. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, surprisingly light onset, smooth, velvetty, toffee, raisins, dried dark fruits, cherry bonbons, warming alcohol but well-hidden, in the middle slightly becoming sourish, more cherry bonbons. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, smooth sweetbitter aftertaste, dried cherries, light chocolate touch, had expected more body but the depth is quite okay, good.

75cl bottle from Glazen Toren, shared with Eric in Eecke. Pours a deep unclear brown, large loose tan head. Toffee-lead nose, rich caramelisation, layered amber and brown malts, dried dark fruit moments.. smooth palate with a gentle carbonation, soft bitter close. Decent.

Taster at Das Stahl. Pours dark brown, with a big, frothy, khaki head. The aroma is sour cherries, leather, cocoa powder, and lime. Sweet and sugary, and quite sour. The bartender assured me that it was supposed to be sour, and it was surprisingly acceptable, but clearly not intended. Medium body, sticky, and acidic. Odd, but not bad.

Sample at Max's Belgian Fest 2024, clear caramel amber with no head. Nose is OK, sugary, burnt caramel, some bread. Flavor has booze and dried fruits, dates mostly, marzipan. Big finish but lacks some complexity.
