Small, yellowish head, shrinking double-quick; dark cola-colour of the bottle turns out to be 100% the beer... clear glass bottle, faugh! Molasses, sweet-fruity nose, raspberry essence and sweet drop. Sweet, again artificially raspberry flavour, with underlying dark malts, not fermented or hopped. Empty, syrupy palate, near-viscous. And now for the surprise. Despite the -1 for the bottle, and the scathing (well-deserved) comments on aromas and flavours, this "beer" is actually a near-perfect childrens’ drink - much more advisable than the industrial American-inspired concoctions usually to their disposal. Just not for me, please.

Bottle, courtesy of Pinball. A clear, brown beer topped by a beige head. Cola-like nose with candy and some wort. Cola in the form of winegum-cola bottles mostly. Caramel-sweet, slightly wort-like flavor with dark rye bread. Thin on the palate. Hmm, sort of reminiscent of a Danish hvidtøl, and not very good either, way too candyish. 090822

40cl bottle from a Polish shop in Slough. Reddish brown with a pink head; aroma of raspberry and malt; the flavour is a strange combination of sweet malts and sharp raspberry fruit - but somehow it works. Certainly different.

Bottle, 0.5%. Sweet raspberry aroma, does not strike me as artificial. Clear dark brown colour, clear red shine. Very small head. The flavour is quite sweet with a good raspberry note. Tastes OK, I guess, but not a beer of course.
