Legado de Yuste is the beer that gathers all the traditional values from the expert hands of Flanders Master Brewers brought by Emperor Charles V during his retreat at the Yuste Monastery. An abbey Ale made from Extremaduran barley malted as Vienna malt, which gives the beer both its flavor and its old golden color, selected aromatic hops Perle and Saaz (from the Czech Republic), yeast and sugar.

25 cl bottle bought in Lisbon.Amber colour with nice head.Toasted malt and caramel taste.I hate beers that contain sugar and I’m guessing that this sugar was not intended for bottle fermentation.Meh

0.33 l bottle. Deep amber-light brown color, no head. Sweet, alcoholic aroma and taste with alcoholic finishing. Leaves a dry feeling in the mouth. Soft carbonation, medium body. The too much alcohol in the taste ruins it for me.

Странный и не свойственный вкус для Эля. Неприлично сильно чувствуется хмель. При послевкусии происходит взрыв алкоголя у тебя во рту. В общем Эль для бедных. По другому не скажешь.

Old rating from 2011 - 330ml bottle, part of 4 pack from Majorca supermarket. Pours caramel colour with a white creamy head. Aromas & tastes of dried fruits, caramel, toffee, cereal, spice & malt. Medium body. Malty finish

Missed review from 8.10.2016. Cerveza de Abadia 6.5% Off white creamy head soon left a still, dark chestnut coloured body. Thick & cloying, minimal carbonation. Quite a sweet beer, sugary, malt, plum & a aft of sourness. Not for me again.

330ml. bottle. Tasted several times. [#3.866 Global - #719 Spain - #15 Heineken España] Hazy deep brown to amber colour with a tan head. Aroma: Prunes, plums and spiced malts. Taste: Caramel spiced malts and toffee. Long malty finish. Next one please!
