Superbe bière d’hiver, ambrée, couronnée d’un importante mousse blanche. Elle présente de beaux arômes d’herbes, de poivre et de malt. Comme toutes les bières de la gamme Goliath, elle présente une subtile amertume.

Bottle. A clear, amber colored beer with a small, dense, off-white head. The aroma is grainy with some fruityness and alcohol. Some chalky hints. The flavor is lighlty sourish, with pale malts, white sugar and fruityness. Medium body with a pleasant carbonation, although there’s probably a tad too much of it. Fruity finish with some sourness and fruityness. Some warmth too. Decent, boring, forgettable. 140118

33cl Bottle, BBD Oct 15, poured into a Hoegaarden Grand Cru stemmed tulip @ home on 5th Dec2013 during a Belgian tasting evening I had with myself. Slight haze to the deep orange to amber body, the head large and white. The nose and taste were both malty and yeasty: hints of a spice or two but mostly semi-sweet malty molasses and Belgian yeasts. The sweetness petered away towards the end of each sip as a drier and more bitter finish arrived. Medium body depth and easy to drink.
