Small, dirty cream-coloured head, bit fluffy, over slightly hazy chestnut beer. Spicy nose, dark malts, molasses, and an aroma as from putty moulding clay. Malty flavour, bit leafy and riddled with a sourish streak. Bitterish, roasted finish, bit cacao-powder like; which gradually mounts and even becomes nearly unpleasant. Served bl%dy cold Chestnut coloured, with small but persistent off-white head. Slightly smoked nose, pinecharacter and lightly spicy. Spicy-bitterish flavours, a bit of caramel, but no sweetness left. Alcohol obvious. Retronasal a lot of roasted notes. Quite full bodied, even the freezing serving T° could not hide that - it just managed to top off the alcohol a bit. I got a distinct idea this is one that grows on you.
