Tap at Valhalla. Hazy amber body, quite lasting thick white head. A pungent mix of smoke and lactic tartness fills the aroma, salty, pleasant. Tart taste lactic acidity and smoked cheese, white wine, lightly grainy maltiness. Lovely stuff really, like smoked cottage cheese, very lightly sweetened. Like it more than I should!

At Balkan beer Bash.Dark yellow colour with small head.Aroma is smoked and sour bit with hint of bourbon and leather nice overall.

Corked and capped bottle 37,5 cl. Pours a yellowish golden with a slight haze and a tiny, dissipating white head. Nose has a dominant, sweet, lactic tarness with a hint of smoke - more Bamberg smoke than peat. Medium body, an initial slight sweetness before the sourness takes over with acetic acid being dominant. Luckily the smoke is subtle, only working as a spice kinda. Other sour smoky beers I've had I deemed undrinkable and horrible, this is not. Although I'm not exactly a fan. 090421

Draught @ Pien Brewpub, Helsinki. Quite untypical sour with loads of smoke, leather, hints of ham and funky farmyardy yeastiness but not peaty whisky notes but sweet bourbon and vanilla instead. Works surprisingly well, but perhaps a bit too smoky and unbalanced still.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Almost clear golden, small head. Peaty aroma with some lemon. Tart to acetic with light to medium body clean mouthfeel. Vinegar, peat and butter. Oaky finish with low bitterness. The milky butter disturbs.

Flaska från SB. Disig gyllengul vätska med snabbt försvinnande låg vit krona. Mjuk torv, ek, funk, fat, mjukt syrlig. Något större kropp, mjuk med mycket sötma. Den är både komplex och intressant men samtidigt kanske något spretig. En lite charkig ton letar sig fram mot avslutningen. Funkar bra trots udda smakkombination.

Flaska från SB. Näst intill kristallklar blekguldig med snabbt försvinnande låg vit krona. Subtil torv, ek, Bourbon, djup funk, fat. Något större kropp, mjuk med mycket sötma. Den är både komplex och intressant men samtidigt kanske något spretig. En lite charkig ton letar sig fram mot avslutningen. Svårbedömd. Tycker nog den är kul ändå.
