Xirdalan is a №1 local beer in Azerbaijan, proudly brewed from natural quality ingredients. The beer is characterized by a gentle taste and rich natural flavor of a classic lager.
The light colour beer is brewed according to the classical technology. High quality raw material is used in this process, which includes yeast, barley and special “Holsten” beer leaven which aromatizes only this type of beer. In the process of filtration specific odor is given to this type of beer. It contains a medium bitter taste. This bitter taste is achieved by special yeast types used in the process of making of a special porridge mass. A slight bitter taste of the beer saturated with natural carbon gas in the process of fermentation cools off us in hot summer days.

Bottle. Golden color, white foam. Weak aroma of malt and hop with a light citrus. Taste: watery, malty, fruity, a little lemon. Almost typical southern lager.

Can courtesy of Benzai, thank you sir! My 150th country rating. Sadly, I have never been to Azerbaijan. Clear pale yellow color, thin white head. Aroma of papery white pepper. Taste is plain lemon, more paper. Inoffensive.

Bouteille 50cl @ RBBSG III, courtesy of Benzai.

500 ml. green bottle sampled @ RBBSG III. Thanks to Benzai! Clear golden. Nose is heavy on skunk with some sweet grains in the back. Tastes of sweet corn mash, some grains & plenty of skunk. Fizzy. Eh another lousy pale lager.

Finally Azerbaijan! Thanks to luttonm for bringing this! Poured a pale golden body with a tiny white head. Light dusty herbal aroma with some egginess. Empty taste, egg, slightly tangy, some light herbal notes. But hey, it’s smooth - must be that "famous" Azeri water.
