A pale Copper IPA with a tantalising trio of American Hops pushing you to the edge of your senses.
The Cliffs of Yesnaby, one of Orkney's many landmarks, are just a few miles south of our brewery and the coastal walks are memorable, much like this beer.
Cliff Edge is a brilliant bronze beer with a tantalising trio of American hops. Pushing you to the edge of your senses, with an intense impact of piney and spicy fruit flavours before dropping to a crash of bitter zestiness.
Hops: Simcoe, Cascade, Eukanot
Malts: Pale, Crystal, Malted Wheat

500 ml bottle, from Gulating Ølutsalg, Stavanger. ABV is 4.7%. Clear orange to copper to amber colour, small white head. Aroma of piney and citric hops, notes of orange marmalade. The flavour has sufficient malts with a touch of caramel, but is not very sweet. Distinct notes of citric and piney hops, with a very bitter aftertaste.

Bottle from the Orkney Brewery. Pours an almost clear Golden/Copper colour with a medium to large sized off-white head. Aromas of caramel, marzipan, citrus (orange), floral and hints of spice. Taste has more caramel, marzipan, orange, floral, spice and an added big earthy and citrus hop bitterness on the dry finish. Medium bodied with a smooth slightly oily mouthfeel. Fresh tasting and lots of hoppy bitterness. Very good.

Bottle from Westhill Service Station. It pours clear amber with a decent foamy white head. The aroma is general fruity character, tropical perhaps, citrus, malt - driven, biscuit, oily, wood, light leather and dull toffee. The taste is dry, light bitterness, pithy citrus action, waxy peel, toothy, spicy, wood, varnish, esin, leather, biscuit and earth with a citrus peel on the finish. Average body and moderate carbonation. Not bad.
