Dark red-brown colour. A firm creamy and cream-coloured head. The smell of roasted malt, caramel and the sweet fruitiness of the alcohol give this beer the perfect aroma. Flavour: Caramel, sweet fruitiness and a pleasant bitterness are the predominant flavours. The aftertaste reveals a pinch of toffee and date.

33cl bottle from Hopduvel, Ghent. A deep reddish brown colour with a billowing beige head that settles back to a thin covering; sour grainy aroma with some caramel in the background; soft and smooth in the mouth with a taste of dates and burnt sugar; then a warming fruity finish, with lingering dates. A pleasant beer to sip slowly.

Marron rojiza. Espuma manchada, efervescente.

330ml bottle from Vanuxeem. Gushes a little on opening. Pours a dark mahogany brown with vibrant off-white head. Aroma is leather and sour fruits. Taste is tart, over-ripe soft dark fruits & some sour oud bruin notes. Interesting.

33cl bottle @home. BBE 07/16. Deep brown, thick beige head. Brown sugar, spicy, toffeeish aroma, dark fruity notes. Flavor has yeast, cinnamon, dark fruits and loads of sugar. Tickles. Toasted, caramelly finish. High carbonation. Too sweet for my taste. Edit: actually as the beer warms up a little I start to enjoy the fruity and spicy notes the yeast gives. up two notches from 3.0
