The first stouts were brewed in London, originally designated as strong ales, they gradually became associated solely with porters and matured as a diverse style by their own merit. We wanted to do our London heritage proud, Last Train is full-bodied and creamy with a rich dark chocolate and roasted coffee flavour. A modern London beer, steeped in tradition.

Can from Beerwulf. Aroma is roasted malt with chocolate, mocha, caramel, coffee, creamy oats, more powdery chocolate, hint of dark fruits. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter. Body is medium with a little creaminess. Very drinkable, brings the roast and the mocha.

May 2017: 330 ml can, from the Norwegian importer. ABV is 5.1%, IBU 30. Black colour, moderate beige head. Moderate roasty aroma, notes of cold coffee, hints of chocolate and cocoa. A moderate roastiness in the soft flavour, mid between sweet and dry. Hints of mild coffee and chocolate. Decent and definitely drinkable, but hardly a masterpiece.

Draft, third pint. @Fourpure Brewing Company, London (UK). 19/02/2023 [#5.999 Global - #759 England - #2 Fourpure Brewing Co.] Pours dark brown with a lacing tan head. Aroma: roasted malts, coffe beans, espresso and ashes. Taste: very roasty dark malts, coffee and burnt caramel. Long coffey creamy mouthfeel. Next one please!

A deep dark stout with a very thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, light mineral notes, pleasant. In mouth, sweet chocolate malt with dark fruits, light mineral notes de faint coffee, well done. On tap at brewery.

Svart med med lys brunt skum. Lukter havre, lakris, kaffe og mørk sjokolade. Middels fylde. Smaker kakaopulver, lakris og noe kaffe. Middels lang.
