On tap at Patrick's. It's a lightly hazy orange-golden colored beer with a finger thick white head leaving lacing. Grapefruit and pineapple dominated aroma with some peach hints. It's full bodied, smooth and quite bitter, nicely carbonated, with a grapefruit dominated flavor. Pineapple notes, tropical fruit juice and some pine cones too. Lasting hop driven finish. A straight forward, tasteful and quite quenching beer, fortunately with a fine bitterness. 200228

From tap at Folken 15.01.20. Cloudy pale straw colour. Huge, dense and persistent off-white head and lacing. Aroma and lingering taste of odd citrus fruits. Spearmint takes over at the beer becomes warmer. Interesting, minus the spearmint.

Bottle. Unclear golden body with a fine, lasting white head. Aroma has lots of fruity hops, both citric and tropical and there is even some piny hops to be found. Taste is refreshing and mostly fruity similar to aroma with pine cones as well. Something else that sets it apart from the crowd is that there is malt flavor and some real bitterness going on here, it makes a fine balance to the sweetness and makes some extra depth and complexity besides just tasting juicy. Balanced body and refreshing in aftertaste as well.

330 ml bottle, as Nøgne Ø Hop Soup DDHNEIPA, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 6.5%, 30 IBU. Slightly hazy pale yellow colour, moderate to small white head. Aroma of tropical fruits, grain and dust. Slightly dry flavour of citrus, tropical fruits and pine needles. lacks a malty body. Seems unbalanced, at least it is a rather boring beer. I expect something better from Nøgne Ø. Won't buy again.
