The latest installment in our long-running “Hello My Name is…” series. Brewed in collaboration with Jeppe from Evil Twin Brewing, this beer has been fittingly named after Jeppe’s mum … because she’s a Danish woman and that’s kind of how this series works. Single hopped with Mosaic and loaded with well over 100kg of blueberries, this big fruity hop bomb is everything you want in a woman. Or a man. Come say ‘Hi’ to Sonja!

Japp nu kör vi Hendersen på spelemaskinen . Åh det var mer intressant än ölen hittils.mainstream Dipa helt ok med ljusa pilsner inslag.

Bottle. Hazy copper, white foam and some lacings. Aroma is sugary tropical, with pine, lemon, grape and some vanilla. Taste is about the same, the juiciness is present all the time, nice. Hints of caramell and vanilla. Lightly hoppy finish. A very stable, well balanced IPA. However, I bought this for the blueberries and they were simply not there - at all. Perhaps too much use of mosaic?

Bottle from SB, Brewdog #66 cons 2014-02-01 Göteborg AR: pine, apricots, pineapple, AP: purple/orange wee fizzy white deminishing head F: grape fruit bitterness, pine, apricot - dried, oily, warming feeling, batch 237 - no blueberries in this batch! Ups missed the hard german caramels, and the local bakers passion fruit cake

330 ml bottle. A clear, deep golden body with a thin white head. Lovely, strong, almost intense in aroma, tropical fruit, berries and some caramel. Flavor is sweet malty, tropical fruit, grapefruit, berries, some pine, malt and quite bitter. Did not find any blueberries, but blueberries don’t taste much anyway so this might just be a part of the general berry flavor. Fine body and long bitter aftertaste. Refreshing and tasty. Alcohol is well hidden.

330ml bottle. Clear, copper-ish deep golden colour with small, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting and lacing, white head. Resinous hoppy aroma, sweet-ish fruity, some tropical fruit with slightly herbal-earthy character. Taste is dry hoppy, fruity hints of blueberry with herbal-earthy touch, later some pineapple and passion fruit, caramel malty basis. There’s not complete harmony between blueberry and tropical fruit - but I’m not sure if this is a negative thing or rather appealing. "We can only agree to disagree in disharmony".

330ml Bottle - Amber in colour. Grapefruit, peach, soapy hops, golden syrup and blueberries in the aroma. Hoppy and fruity taste with grapefruit, peach and blueberries detected. Nice and refreshing.

Flaske fra polet, hjemme: under oppskjenkingen kjenner jeg en tydelig blåbæraroma, men på nært hold overtar humlen. Veloppdragent gardinskum. Frisk og god ipa-smak med god og balansert fylde, vitamininnholdet merkes mot slutten. Blåbærene holder seg i bakgrunnen, akkurat som ved starten.
