There’s a point on every kite that’s critical to get right. It’s called the “Bridle Point.” It’s where the tow string connects to the kite. Misplacing that point by one inch can make all the difference when trying to get lift. But when you nail it, that thing soars. That’s what the addition of refreshing acidity from our iconic Wood Cellar does to this hazy IPA. It pushes all those juicy fruity qualities forward and adds a flash of refreshing acidity that truly elevates this hazy IPA to new levels. We’ve been dry-hopping sours for over a decade and just couldn’t resist the opportunity to apply that knowledge to a fruit-forward, hazy IPA. We think you’ll like the result.

Golden colour with lasting fluffy head. It's got a sharp citric tartness at first. The finish has a fruity and floral hop bitterness.

The aromas are a nice blend of fresh citrus hops and sour. Flavors have a reverse ratio than what I'd prefer, it's a little more sour and a little less hoppy and I wish the reverse was true. The hops lose most of their qualities other than bitter. Fairly dry with a smidgen of sweet in the finish but more bitter.

Super hazy pure golden and straw coloured body with a raw honey glow and a thinnish, single centimetre tall pure white head that fades relatively quickly. Aroma of yeast, brett, light hay, grass, flowers, hay, coriander seed, soft herbal hops and a good soured and tart bite in the nose. Light-bodied; Strong grassy and dry, herbal flavours dominate with a big sour and tart brett and lactobilly funkiness with a kick from hay and coriander seed freshness, all pressing some sweetness from lemon juice (not really, of course) seemingly out of mix at the very end. Aftertaste shows some pungent yeastie qualities from the bretty, lactobilly and spontaneously fermented notes with a good balance of sweetness, sour, tartness and dry, easy-going malty qualities. Overall, a fairly nice beer that hits more as a wild/sour ale than an IPA, but the dry and floral hoppiness definitely does come through, as does some nice sweetness and complexity from the yeast and residiual sugars. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Whole Foods in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia on 02-December-2020 for US$2,50 sampled at my house here in Washington on 21-February-2021.

Evergreen and slight citrus aroma. Flavor is a nice balance of sour acid and hop taste and bitterness. Tropical fruit sweetness underneath.

12oz can pours a soft hazy straw color with a lively white head. Some tropical fruit notes and perhaps the can is a bit old but much of any hop bitterness has faded. Soft modest tartness comes through nicely.

Pour is a hazy yellow with a large white head. Aroma is a nice mango fruity hop. Flavor is again a nice mango and tropical fruit. I would not call this sour it is more tart than sour which is fine by me. This was nice a flavorful with a little palate cleansing tartness after the swallow.

Can, 0.355l. Aroma of passion fruit, pineapple, citrus, white wine and barnyard. Pours hazy dark golden color with medium sized frothy off-white head and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts light sweet and sour grainy, following is juicy tropical fruity, vinous and herbal, mouthfeel is smooth, while finish is moderate bitter. Medium body, oily texture and lively carbonation in palate. Souropod...
