There’s a point on every kite that’s critical to get right. It’s called the “Bridle Point.” It’s where the tow string connects to the kite. Misplacing that point by one inch can make all the difference when trying to get lift. But when you nail it, that thing soars. That’s what the addition of refreshing acidity from our iconic Wood Cellar does to this hazy IPA. It pushes all those juicy fruity qualities forward and adds a flash of refreshing acidity that truly elevates this hazy IPA to new levels. We’ve been dry-hopping sours for over a decade and just couldn’t resist the opportunity to apply that knowledge to a fruit-forward, hazy IPA. We think you’ll like the result.

Saw this and couldn't wait to taste it since I like sour but not IPA. Close up from a can it smells like the BO of your favorite lover. Its the color of darker cloudy lemonade. Big white heads goes exceptionally craggy. Taste is certainly IPA but there is this hint of tartness that makes you keep at it like slowing down when you are driving by a fatal accident. I don't think IPA was made to be sour since De Rank tho I did have a couple of sour IPA Epics that were pretty good. Keeping at it, I almost want to hold my nose while I slug it out of the glass. Yes, decent but yet repulsive, just like the name indicates, its an oxymoron. Yes, exactly what this beer is, its good cause its tart and wild yet its bad becauswe its so fricken nasty nellie bitter.

Fecal, rubber, and bean funk smell, guava and pineapple also present. Opaque amber, medium head, little retention. Tart peach and white grape. Medium body, easy carbonation, not overly sour. Little noticeable hop presence, but an enjoyable sour.

Can from Holiday Market. Pours a hazy nectar colored gold with a small white head that dissipates. Punchy, dank hops on the nose with pineapple, guava tangerine and orange pulp aromas. Tart guava and citrus on the palate with a well-rounded mouthfeel. Smooth finish with balanced pithy bitterness and tartness. Really lovely stuff.

12 ounce can from Festival Northland, 4/5/20. Murky orange, thin foamy white head, good retention. Aroma of pale malt, citrus, grapefruit. Taste is lemon, lime, pale malt, a hint of funk. Thin-medium bodied, a a hint of tartness. Decent.

Keg at 73 Enid Street. A hazed golden orange coloured pour with a lasting fine off white head. Aroma is sour lemon, lime, guava, wheat, opal fruits. Flavour is composed of pithy lemon, lime, pithy lemon, wheat. Palate is semi sweet, rounded, moderate carbonation. Lime.

Keg at 73 Enid Street, 06/12/19. Hazed golden orange with a decent off white head. Nose is tarte citric zest, grass, bitter orange, lemon drizzle. Taste comprises sharp lemon, grass, papaya, ripe melon, mellow acidic bimble. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with sharp citric layers and grassy hop bitterness. Solid palate cleanser.
