Bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. Clear deep dark red color, average sized off-white head. Smell and taste malts, sweetness, caramel, liquorice, alcohol. Medium to full body, medium carbonation. Tastes like an Abt/Quadrupel to me...

2010 Vintage (bottled on 22/05/2010). 33 cl. bottle @ Bierkaffee ’t Middelpunt in Zolder. Dark strong woody coloured amber with a small but very solid tanned head. Nose is figs, sugar, sweet BE yeast, A+ grade oxidation, sherry, dark fruit notes,… Taste carries through, oxidation but in the best way, figs, sherry, sweet brown sugar, light chocolate, BE yeast, dark fruits, plums, candy,… Med. body for the style & very easy to drink. Very solid offering that has held up very nicely with age. Lovely.

22/VII/13 - 75cl bottle from coal mines (Beringen, Belgium) @ Jorge and Katrien's summer flat - BB: n/a, bottled: 21/V/13 (2013-658) Thanks to Bouvier for the bottle!
anekdote: my friend walks into the souvenir shop and buys the bottle of beer. He knows a lot of beer things through me. The cashier tells him: "it's a good beer, but you should know, it is not brewed here in Limburg". To which my friend answered: "Let me guess: Lochristi?". Cashier (very surprised): "How do you know???" :-)
Clear cola coloured beer, big aery light beige head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: lots of caramel, dried fruits, some chocolate, sweet, brown sugar, more chocolate. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: caramel, lots of dark chocolate, bit of mocha, bitter hops. Aftertaste: dried fruits, hoppy touch, some citrus, lots of chocolate, bit of mocha, not too sweet, little spicy, cloves.

Bottled. A nut-brown beer with a brown head. The aroma has strong notes of caramel as well as notes of malt, nuts, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with ntoes of malt, caramel, and nuts, leading to a dry alcholic finish. The alcohol burns in the throat.

Bottled at Weekend der Belgische Bieren, Hasselt, Belgium
Blacky body, lightly brown head. Aroma of sweet, strong malts. Very strong malty flavour: moderately bitter, lightly sweet. Quite complex flavour. The bitterness grows stronger to the end. Fully bodied. I thought this was a lovely stout.
