Draft. A hazy dark golden beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of fruits, malt, and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, alcohol, fruits, and straw, leading to a bitter finish.

Hazy orange with a fluffy and lasting white head. Malty and grainy aroma. Very sweet malty flavour with some wooden notes, a bit of tannin and boozy alcohol.

Draught @ Black Door, Helsinki
Pours clear golden with a large foamy head. Aroma of rye, spices, sweet caramel and malts. Taste is sweet, spicy and malty with notes of rye and caramel. Finish is sweet, caramely and sticky with some fruity notes. Way too sweet for my taste.

On tap at Moeder Lambic Fontainas, pours a cloudy golden yellow with a medium white head. Aroma of light biscuity malts, some light fruit skins, a touch of candied sugar and some Belgian yeast. Flavour is fairly sweet, with candied sugar, biscuity malts, and some Belgian yeast. Quite drinkable and well-balanced -- nothing special but very well-made.

ZBF Festival 2013 - Dark blond, clear. Amongst the aroma there is a whiff of boiled vegetables. The bitter edge of cabbage water is also present in the flavour. Otherwise it’s an overly sweet Tripel. Not good at all.

Draft sample @ ZBF’13 shared with the RB Belgian crew.

Draught Small, resistant off-white head, some small lace over faintly veiled golden-orange beer. Very fresh-smelling, hoppy/wild-herbal smell, slightly hopoils. Sweetish - again this "wild" herbal streak, as if wild hops were used in large doses. In fact, bit too much as it is in detriment to other flavours... bit of malt, bereft of typical maltsweetness. Sharp, bit sticky MF, feels medium bodied at least, but doesn’t betray its ABV. Bit rustic. I guess too much bittering EU hops are used, which makes it kind of raw. The only beer on ZBF, NOT brewed @ De Proef?
