24th Jan 2015: shared bottle at the Cotteridge Wine bash. Poured a really deep, dark brown with a creamy textured beige head. The nose was of dark fruits and molding yeastiness, the taste was sour with wine vinegar and cherry like flavours. Interesting but not really my thing.

Bottle at Cotteridge wine convention; dark brown pour with a creamy light tan head, dark fruit aroma, taste has red wine vinegar, cherries, very sour, nice.

500ml bottle. Quasi black colour with small, thick, micropored, rapidly diminishing, completely fading, brown head. Fruity, vinous aroma, notes of cherry, blue grapes, plum, blueberry, blackcurrant, leather, oak, a tannic touch. Taste is initially dry, mildly sour, vinous, notes of blue grapes, blackcurrant, morello, a chocolately touch with subtle sweetness in the middle part, lasting dry finish with notes of blue grapes and fruit parings; compact, velvety mouthfeel with sour-biting fraying.

Bottle. Dark brown colour with a beige head. Aroma and flavour is wood, vinegar, berries, sourness, malt, alcohol. Nice beer.

Bottle 500ml. @ [ The pre Fastelavn Smagning - Carnival Tasting, Ulfborg ]. [ As Twickenham Oud Bruin ].ABV: 8.1%. Dard red brown color with a small, open and fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, tart, sour, berry, cherry, wood, acetone, vinegar. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate acidic with a long duration, resin, balsamico, cherry, chocolate, dark malt, roasted, wood, vinegar. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat, finish feel is light alcoholic - aceton. [20140228]

Courtesy of Kraddel. Thanks! 500 ml. bottle split by 2 @ Barely legal tasting room. Apparently only 360 bottles ever made. BBF 09/2014. Pours a blackish dark ruby brown with little in the way of head. Smells very vinous, fermenting alcoholic red grapes, nail polish, varnish, quite sour going to vinegar. Tastes of varnish, acetone, touch liquorish, red wine vinegar, lots of freshly painted wood, quite a bit of cheap Porto, fermenting red grapes. Low carbonation. Nice but way too unbalanced with acetone, nail polish, varnish etc. Reminds me a bit of Mikkeller Sur Munk, I liked that one more. It is coold that you can totally recognise elements of Struise & Alvinne here.

Bottle Pours almost black , no real foam . Smell is sour, very Alvinne typical . Low, yet present carbonation . Very fleshy, lower sourness, soe dark malts, some sweet undertone which cannot really reach the surface . Very nice .

Bottle at Fastelavn Smagning 2014 @ J&Cās beer palace, Jutland 28/02/14. Extremely dark mahogony brown with a thin beige covering. Nose is bitter fruit pangs, fruit balsams, dank wood, musty notes, earthy. Taste comprises dark stoned fruits, fruit balsams, berry fruit skins, dank woody notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying tarte fruit close. Nice stuff, ticks all the boxes.
