The pleasant, dark Doppelbock of monasterial origin, especially suited for festivities during the chilly season.
Typical for the Maximator is the full-bodied, pithy and pronounced body, coated with a fine and velvety refraction.
Due to the use of dark malt produced in the barn malt house, the light sweetness is surrounded by toasty cocoa notes.
The finish is smooth, with a lingering note of dark chocolate.

Bottle, 0.5l. Cloudy deep ruby pour, one finger creamy off-white head, medium retention, sticky lacing on the glass. Sweet on the nose, malty, fruity notes, raisins, caramel. Medium to full body, soft carbonation. Thick and creamy mouthfeel and texture, chewy, oily, very nice. Sweet malty taste balanced with liquory bitter notes. Aroma of toasted caramel, toffee, raisins. Brown sugar, molasses. Nutty. Warming alcohol, liquory. Sticky. Medium lasting finish, dry, sweet and boozy. Enjoyable.

0,5 bottle. Igazán autentikus régies címke, és klasszik tömzsi üveg. A sör gesztenyebarna, szép opálos színű, a habja ujjnyi vastagságban tart, szép krémszínű. Szép is finom is. Ajánlom a stílus kedvelőinek.

A truly authentic old label and a classic stout bottle. The beer is chestnut brown, with a nice opal color, the head is finger-thick, and it's a nice cream color. Complex aroma: dried fruits on a roasted malt base, even a little coffee comes out, but the normal malt and yeast can also be felt. A weakly carbonated sip, which is not a little tasty: dried plum, aszú, sweet, full-bodied, full, spicy too. Great. In fact, it's more of an highlight for me, since I really like this type. A double lager should be like this... It's both beautiful and delicious. I recommend it to lovers of the style.

11.2oz bottle at Ferchs. Who knows how old it is, but it holds up well enough. More drinkable than most US or German examples. Toffee caramel red fruit malt richness, but almost like a thicked out Oktoberfest. Really good.
