Our interpretation of a Belgian-style wheat beer is brewed with oats, malted wheat, and unmalted raw wheat for a hazy, “white” appearance. Spiced with our own special blend of coriander and Curaçao orange peel, Allagash White is both complex and refreshing. Though it’s brewed in Maine, the recipe sticks to its Belgian roots.

(Thanks, Roman! mansquito) Can. A- Straw, mild citrus, coriander. A- Yellow color, cloudy liquid, white head. T- Wheat, citrus, heavy coriander, subtle fresh cut grass. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, crisp finish. O- I've wanted this since I started into beer and it took forever for some reason but Roman finally hooked me up. Didn't expected this to be mindblowing as it might have been 10 years ago for me, but still very respectable. A nice refresher on a toasty day.

First check in?! Such a classic example of the style. Whoever first mixed coriander, orange peel, and hops was a genius.

Can. Moderately hazy yellowish orange with a 2cm white head that lasts well. Aroma of wheaty crackers, oranges, coriander, white pepper. Light bodied, soft textured. Sweetish and a little tangy with a spicy drying finish - some cloves join the other spices. Refreshing. Does not over-deliver: it's a good Wit, but just a Wit.

Can via Wendigo. Classic wit, mostly coriander dominated, but also hint of orange zest and flowery spicy yeastiness. Smooth, remains in balance. Thin body, high carbonation. Easy drinking, refreshing, very good.

Can; excited to find it in the UK, and surprised it was in my local cooperative. Nose is wheat, cloves, banana, lots of yeast, hint of bubblegum and a touch of pepper. Taste is banana, cloves , dry yeast, citrus, lime, soft bubblegum, herbal hop note. Finish is pleasingly dry, smooth creamy body. Really was jolly nice, and beautifully balanced.
