Tap @ Kombinat, Kristiansand. Unclear orange body with a nice, dense off-white head. Aroma has lots of malt and fruit like mature citric fruit, peaches and oranges. Flavor is sweet malt, mild toffee, peach, mature citric fruit, orange peel, citric zest and good bitterness. Balanced body and long lasting, nice aftertaste. A solid and mature IPA with a de3cent malt base.

355ml bottle. Clear, orangey golden colour with average to huge, flabby, moderately lasting, and lacing, white head. Piney, resinous, hoppy aroma, notes of spruce, coniferes in general, hints of mandarine and orange, mandarine jelly, marmalade, perfumed, floral overtones, pale malty background with minimal caramel malt touch adumbrates bone-dry taste. Taste is dry and bitter hoppy, surprisingly sweet (moderately) pale and caramel malty backbone, notes of pine, spruce, resin, orange, mandarine, a touch of lemon zest, slightly perfumed, floral hoppy overtones; full body, smooth and soft palate. Clean and punchy, paradigmatic West Coast style DIPA.

Tap in Cannon Beach. Gold color, not much head and carbonation is low. This is an old school type of double ipa. Dry, resinous hops. Bitter, some grapefruit, and a little pine. Some sugar, which is necessary to get the abv up there.

On tap at the Pacific City BP Clear deep orange with a thin but dense and persistent offnwhite head and lacing big piney hop aroma and flavors. Malt body is thick and smooth and some Carmelized malts are present. Long lingering pine and sweet trailer. Smooth and heavy. Nice hop flavors.

Bomber from Capitol Beer. Pours bright gold with a white head. Aroma is rather dankish; Citrus for sure. Arguably some floral. Full bodied or nearly. Flavor is lots of hop, with a decent and detectable caramel backbone. Flavor is hop burn/dankish - lots of resin/citrus with some earth and fruit. Lots going on here. Very tasty.

Tasting at Matt’s
Golden color, clean. The hopping is earthy, quite animal, Mosaic character, some orange peel: the mouthfeel is not too thick, moderately sweet, the alcohol is balancing the body, the malt is not bad, and the final is piney and resiny.
Very good.
