Sour version of some stillwater beer. Some tangy farm here and hibiscus flower evident. Light, palatable sour that taste ok. Tastes a little of tomato because one fell off my pizza - can’t tell if the finishing product was positive overall. Tap at Pizzeria Paradiso Dupont.

2oz pour at PPD. Pours a murky brown with zero head. Oily looking. Nose is like a shot of hand soap in a glass of riesling, some odd cinnamon stick too, a little butyric acid. Flavor is like orange juice with cinnamon stick, some breakfast cereal with booze, herbal soap. Tart finish. Bad.

Thanks. Sampled @ ZBF 2014. Darker amber, creamy white head. Very sweet flowers in the nose, fruity, perfume, light funky, ripe fruits and candy. Tastes of sweet apples, herbal, flowers, perfume, lavender, sweet soap, nicely tart flowers, sweet & sour, candy, honey, sweet cake. Full body. I really liked, most seemed to really hate it.

31/XII/13 - 75cl bottle from Diesters Bierfestival @ home, paired with smoked salmon terrine - BB: n/a (2013-1207)

Clear dark orange beer, small aery off-white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: very floral, lots of lavender, toilet freshness, bit funky. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very floral, lots of lavender, and I've never even eaten lavender in my life. Sour and lemony, almost vinegar acidity. Aftertaste: lots of lavender again, sourish, little bitter. Way too floral for me. The lavender is totally overpowering everything else and making it smell (and probably taste) like urinal cakes. This is not a good association to get for your beer.

Süffig, sehr erfrischend, spritzig, harmonisch, etwas hopfig, vollmundig. 12/8/12/12/12//12

Brewer described this as a lacto version of the Stillwater collaboration Of Love and Regret, the first European collaboration that Brian Strumke did. The lacto really brings our the herbs and flowers in this one, especially in the aroma, with strong heather and fresh meadow. Taste is softly sour straw and hay. Very tasty. Tasted side by side with the original.
