(bottle, 33cl) Clear, golden colour with a big and slightly off-white foamy head. Slightly sugary sweet malty aroma with hints of biscuits and slightly mouldy spicy notes. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, almost full bodied with a moderate carbonation. Solid malty body with subtle fruity notes; sweet biscuity malty and delicately bitter and spicy finish. Not overly complex and too strong to be an easy quaffer, otherwise quite likeable. 05.II.13

33cl bottle @ home. Hazy yellow color, full sized a fully diminishing white head. Don’t smell much. Taste malts, a bit sweetish, lightly liquor. Quite decent.

33cl bottle from HopDuvel, BB 17/10/2013.

sampled @ GBF 2012 // light clear golden with a white head // smells sweet, fruity belgian yeast, some banana, lightly malty, decent amount of spices and citrus peel // taste is sweet, lots of fruits, fruity belgian yeast and esters, banana, round citrus with a small dash of peel and some sugar sweet, lots of spices, especially towards the end when it also gets nicely boozy // lightly spritzy and easy to drink // no high expectations but this is pretty damn good actually and interesting

Very good, dense, just off-white head over clear light-copper, big-bubbled beer. Sharpish malt & alcoholnose; some garden herbs. Pale malts sovereign. Bitterish & sweet-alcoholic. Sharp toasted backthroat, dry grain. Well-carbonated, slick, medium bodied; bit sharpish feel, long-lasting flavour. Despite the serious alcoholimpression, it drinks away fairly easily - making it all the more dangerous.
