hazy brown colour, only some minimal beige lacing; aroma of dried sour cherry, dark chocolate, some prune, vanilla and port wine notes; taste is similar to the aroma with intensive (burnt) plum jam, syrupy notes and some spicy alcohol; surprisingly good and complex 'lager'

Bottle. Dark brown color, almost without foam. Strong and powerful aroma: alcoholic, very strong malt, dried fruits, schnapps, malt port wine, caramel and bread, prunes. Taste: sweet, strong, dried fruits, dried blue plum, schnapps, rye dark bread, alcohol but tasty and powerful.

Swing top bottle, bought at the annual fest on the Market Square in Denekamp. This beer now seems to be imported by Huttenkloas. Brown color, cloudy, no head. Malty aroma with plums and lemon. Sweet, alcoholic flavor with plums, lemon, licorice and caramel. The beer doesn’t look good and is out of balance, but nevertheless and interesting experiment.

No head, just some bubbles. Aroma is weird, shed, grain, minerals, weeds, stable, caramel, booze, burnt sugar. Taste is sour-ish mineraly, weeds, grass, minerals, booze, oak, burnt sugar, caramel, dark malts, dark sugar, grass, stable. Medium bitterness, dry boozy mouthfeel. Not my cup of tea...
