Pours clear amber, no real head. Smell is Lemon, as well as that typical sugary ’lambic’ scent. The 2 components are asside eachother, not blendig in. Taste is lemonsour , very dry, a faro-like sweet-style lambic in the back. Too damn dry. Too Chemical. An extreme Taste in it’s own, but not in a Nice way. Many colliding factors, very unnatural, and some tastes are highlighted way too much . Balance ? Not even remotely there. Basebeer ? Awefull. Additives ? Of a Chemical kind. The endresult is drinkable, to my surprise, but of low Quality, and there are many, many other beers that are far better to drink.

*Old rating. Best before 03/05/14. Nice lemon aroma, sourish-sweet, nice and fresh. The aftertaste is bit sweetish, but round and fresh. Nice refreshing!

Draft - Lemon cleaner. Clearish light gold with a small white head. Sweet lemon and tart finish. Much like a cocktail mixer.

Bottle shared during RBWG 2016 - thanks to Colin. Pours clear gold with a frothy white head. Smells like citrus soda, with a bit of lightly rotten like. Light sweet flavor with sturdy acidity, tart lemon, some grass, moist wood. Light bodied with average carbonation. Fairly sharp acidity on the finish, more lemon, mild earthy funk. Just a little too much battery acid. So so.

Bottle shared at RBWG 2016. Thanks to cloin for this one. Clear dull yellow coloured pour with a fine white head. Aroma is sweet lemon, woody, ant acid tablet, 7up. Flavour is composed of sweet and sour tart lemon, very sweet, cif lemon, slightly pithy. Palate is sticky sweet. Meh.

Bottle split in the hotel lobby, RBWG ’16 no thanks to this Bois, 02/02/16. Golden blonde with a small off white covering that soon dissipates. Nose is sweet lemon jam, sugary lemon pancakes, light piss and fantastic grain. Taste comprises tarte lemon, light acidity, straw, Jif lemon. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Hmmmm.

Bottle from Terre de Boissons Calais and drunk at home. Clear gold lasting white head. Bleachy lemon aroma. Sour flavour in the mouth. Wow that’s quite lemon curd with a slash of sourness in the middle of it. I mean that’s completely caught me off guard. It’s properly sour. Don’t like the aroma, but the rest is lemony sweet and sour. Weirdly lovely.

Another eccentric Chapeau thing, this time with lemon juice (and of course, lots of sugar). Thin but stable, cream white head, colour orange blonde, misty. Aroma strangely combines lemon juice with subdued hay-like lambic and a honeyish sugar accent. Soft sweetish onset, lightly sugary, followed by a sharp tingling lemon sourness, some sweet barley noticeable in the middle, finishing dryishly sour and thin. Weird as always in this range, but at least original.

Geel bier zonder schuim. Smaak is zuur en chemisch. Lijkt niet op lambiek en evenmin is citroen te ontdekken. Misschien iets voor de liefhebber, echter niet voor mij. Etiket is inmiddels veranderd.
