Clear golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet and lemon, much like a radler. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate acidic. Dry and moderate acidic finish. Much drier than the other fruity Chapeau’s. 190712

Bottle @ home. Clear golden color, small white head. Smell is very much lemon indeed. Tastes about the same: slightly malts incredibly dominated by lemon flavor. I have to say it’s not very nice to drink, though not totally awful, but if the goal was to put lemon in a beer than they certainly succeeded!

bottle from toft vin, shared with Gitte. clear orang, small white head. aroma of lemon, artificial lemon. flavor is pretty sour from both lemon and lambic, but the lemon with some artificial flavor to it, dominates. Quite a citrussy experience.

Originally rated October 2008. Purchase at the LCBO as a seasonal offering, and second Chapeau de Troch brew tonight. Best before date on back label reads: 06/02/10. Pours a golden-beige colour with a smaller white head (than their Kriek). This one is creamy though, and has pretty nice thick lacing all around. Again, big bubble carbonation. The nose has the lemon promised in the name, but also, hints of oranges and apricots. Man, is this one ever sour ! A lambic is already sour enough, and now, you add lemon juice in it.... waaaa ! Some biscuit malt is left in the aftertaste, but very little. Reminds me a bit of when lemon juice goes bad (at first, when left in the fridge too long). Slightly tart mouthfeel. Definitely for those who like it sour.

Early amateur rating warning! Nice lemony beer. Was expecting acidy sharpness but it not so.
