This beer was on the menu at an extremely nice restaurant/bar in Dubrovnik that looked out over the water. Served in a .5 liter bottle, this was my first Croatian beer ever. The pour delivered a brown/black body with a proper head of tan foam. It tasted of malt, a bit of chocolate, grain, nuts and a small toffee sweetness. A good finish to a visit to an attractive and friendly city.

Dunkelbraune Farbe mit beiger Schaumkrone. Malziger, röstmalziger Geruch. Geschmacklich malzig, röstmalzig mit Karamell. Mittlere Süße mit leichter Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.

16/8/2024. Can from Šamon Grand Wine & Liquor Store, Sarajevo. Pours very dark mahogany brown with a creamy off-white to beige head. Aroma is roasted, malts, toasted, caramel, chocolate, biscuit, nut. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, smooth, average carbonation. Sweetened slightly clammy finish. Quite liked this.

Bottle. Very dark brown with medium beige head. Aroma is malt, caramel, roasted malt, bread and hop. Flavour is malt, caramel, bread, roasted malt, medium sweet and medium bitter.

0.5l can. Dark brown body with a beige head. Aroma and taste of berries, licorice, chocolate, toast, caramel and sugar syrup. Somewhere in between a schwartzbier and a dunkel. Quite swert beer, but nice.

--Sample, thanks oh6gdx! -- Dark brown, rich head. Roasty nose with some metal. Sweetish with medium body and clean mouthfeel. Rusty metal and roasty bread. Resinous bitter finish.
