Refrigerated 12.7 oz. stub brown bottle poured into a snifter. Black with dark brown highlights with small beige head. Aroma is light bourbon, medium body, medium carbonation, and pretty good small-bubble lacing. Taste is leather, tobacco, bourbon, wood, a little vanilla, a little coffee, and some chocolate. Is this an old ale or an impy Stout, guess it does not matter because this is pretty good. The flavors are are not real strong and are more rounded and may be even oxidized. Really the coffee, vanilla, chocolate are pretty light.

This beer is an opaque brown-black color with a medium tan head that diminishes steadily to a film. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of roasted malt, bourbon, coffee and chocolate. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky vanilla, coffee, bourbon and chocolate malt. The finish is oaky with a boozy vanilla mocha aftertaste. Good beer all around.
