0,33L bottle (from Wine of Galilee), BB 2016. Pours hazy golden with white head. The head stays. Aroma is sweet, fresh fruits, citrus, yeast, spices. Flavor is sweet and bitter fresh fruits, citrus, yeast, spices, malt. Finish is yeasty-fruity and dry bitter. Overall: very nice brew.

The original Ellezelloise witch brew since 1993. A classic, with thick and rocky, dense, yellowish white head and warm peach blond colour, hazy with tiny yeast bits floating here and there. Lots of artisanal, Belgian, estery fruitiness in the nose: orange, melon, pineapple, gooseberry, coriander, aniseed, calvados, brown rhum, almond. Fresh fruity sweet onset with relatively sharp carbonation, much orange and orange peel, slick, yeasty, spicy notes and herbal hop bitterishness in the finish. Tasteful beer, it’s a good thing Géants saved this brewery from closure some years ago. Style-wise I’m inclined to situate this somewhere between a tripel and a (strong) saison.

Bottle @ Witte Paard, Oostvleteren. Pours hazy golden with a creamy white head, lacings. Aroma of malt, yeast, sweets, grassy hops, sweet fruit. Flavor is malt, rather sweet, yeast, white grapes, grassy, light fruity hops. Medium body, average carbonation. 030814

Bottle @ Restobières, Brussels. Pours cloudy amber with airy white head. Clear aroma of malt and fruit, with pronounced hoppy notes and touches of yeast. Sweetish flavour of fruit and malt, complemented by regular and clear bitter, hoppy notes and touches of citrus. Bitter and citric aftertaste. A well-balanced and enjoyable beer.

A golden beer with a white and medium head. The nose is aromatic, fruits, bananas, flowers, honey, sweet mandarin and some wheat. Taste of fruits, wheat, bananas, some flowers and only hint of spices. Presence of alcohol can be noticed but not to taste. Bananas after pouring the yeast. Medium bodied, quite fresh and aromatic. Actually, quite nice beer, easy but still tastefull with rich of nuancees.

3oz pour at Max’s Belgian Fest 2014. Pours a clear gold with some wispy, white head. Nose is sweet, grass, orange, honey. Flavor is sweet, grassy, pithy, soap, herbal. Clean finish.

Goldgelbe leicht trübe Farbe, geringer Schaum, wenig CO2. Geruch blumig, hefig würzig. Geschmack leicht hefig säuerlich. Würzig mild, fruchtig. Angenehm zu trinken!
