(Bottle, 0.5 l - batch RØ84, at Pikkulintu, 20110518) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had roastedness, malts, sweetness and chocolate. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were roastedness, burntness, hops, ash and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt and bitter. Ok beer but a little bit too burnt.

Dark, almost opaque brown color, steady beige head. Licorice, toasted malts in the nose. Medium-bodied. Toasted malty, some dark licorice candy, hints of coffee. Soft palate. Quite good sipping beer.

Bottled@Gastropub Nordic, Tampere. Very deep ambery brown colour, mediumsized beige creamy longlasting head. Aroma is nutty, caramelly, mildly earthy and some quite strong fruityness as well. Flavour is rather fruity and hoppy along with some earthy, herbal and mildly caramelly notes. Also some berries and mildly liquorice like notes. Mild resiny notes as well. Not that carbonated while drinking, but feels like it’s foaming quite much on it’s way down... And stomach feels like gas needs to be released as well .) Anyhow, a nice and balanced brew. A strong session beer.

Huge light-beige head over very deep-dark ruby beer; some UFO’s end of bottle. Sweet & earthy aromas, liquorice, roasted malts. Again roasted & earthy, peanuts, mild spicy-bitterish malts. Point of saltiness; faintly nutt retronasal. Medium bodied; bit light finish, faint dreamy texture. Light, but pleasing mork öl, less sweet than the nose suggested. Wasn’t the goal an Abbey dubbel?
