Bottle, courtesy of fonefan, opened at @ The Unholy Trinity Meets Again, Sønderborg. Pours hazy amber with small white head. Rather dusty aroma with notes of hops, yeast and malt and touches of fruit. Dusty and bitter onset, replaced by sweetish notes of malt, fruit and yeast. Hints of citrus and spice. Rough and estery aftertaste with acetic hints. Decent.

Troebel geel bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is vrij vlak en waterig, licht bitter en lichte fruit smaak. Niet slecht maar valt tegen.

Hazy to cloudy pale amber colour, one finger frothy white head, recedes slowly, fair lacing. Aroma fruity sweet malts, bread, yeasty, bit of banana, hint of vanilla. Taste medium sweet, very light sour undertones, yeasty. Light to medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation, mild sweetbitter aftertaste, soft spicy notes (coriander, ginger). Not really special but quite agreeable.

Gruut’s third, with creamy, moussy, stable head and misty ochre blonde colour. Mild spicy aroma, yeasty, peach, hazelnuts, apple peel, white bread, bog myrtle like in Gageleer, liquorice, cookies, cinnamon, ginger, bitter honey. Restrained fruity sweetness, some banana and peach, flowery and honeyish touch, fresh, soft spicy notes, soft bitter finish with a dry yeastiness. Hard to believe it isn’t hopped as they claim, but a good session ale in any case.
