Bottle 0.25ltr: Reddishbrown sour ale with some sweetness if you try hard to detect it, if there was no lager than in Flanders than was this the biggest beer around.

Bottle at home. Dark amber colour with bubbly beige head. Aroma is yeasty, buttery, but marzipan, bit fruity, floury and quite sweet and quite fragrant. Taste is dark fruity, just a hint of sourness, bit quite sweet too, caramelly malt. Bit butterscotch, and quite soft in the mouth. Have to say I really quite like it. Never tasted anything else like it.

Found at last! The brewery was deserted, but the pub next to the brewery was kind enough to fill a litre swing top bottle with this tap only beer. Oaky aroma. Sourish flavor with oak, mustard, some fruit. Some rest sweetness left. Just a bit creamy. Fine Oudenaards brown, very hard to find but worth searching for.

20 October 2018. Late birthday dinner at 't Botteltje, Ostend.
Pours hazy dark brown, red hue, with a lasting, small, foamy, tan head. Aroma of almond, blackcurrant, raisin, vinegar, dough, caramel, oak. Taste is light to medium fruity sour, blackcurrant & raisin, bit bitter with a woody touch, some nuts; only subtly funky with lactic acid & vinegar. Dry, tart finish, lingering red fruit, wood & vinegar, a bit astringent. Medium body, slick texture, lively carbonation. Old-fashioned stuff, okay.

Tap@ One Pint Pub. Pours mahogany color with a thin white head. Sweet fruity, cherries, wood and rosehip. This pretty much continues in the flavor. Quite thin, but refreshing.
