Bottle @ home. Clear copper to amber color, no head, small white lacing. Smell malts, metal, cardboard, aluminium, slightly wort and it also smells a little like a can. At least, it reminds me of a can. Taste malts, metal, a not very nice kind of metal-bitterness, butter. Metal and cardboard aftertaste. Soft carbonation, low to medium body. Don’t like it.

An amber ale with a thick mocha head. In aroma, a nice sweet herbaceous malt with light orange pulp, a bit maderized. In mouth, an oxidized malt with light curacao and honey, past date but still decent. BB March 2010. Tasted Oct. 15 2011.

Bottle from Asao. Earthy amber caramel malt aroma with fruit and chocolate. Apples, raisins, and oranges. Very cloudy dark amber to medium brown with an ultra-fine, silky, nitro-like head. Tangy edge in the flavor with green apple and orange, cinnamon, otherwise rich caramel malts, slightly earthy, bready. Finish is moderately bitter, roasty, a bit dirty, and dry. Body is silky smooth. Interesting fruit and caramel mix. Very nice malt character.

Bottle at Zythos Beer Festival 2010 in St Niklaas. Orange and clear, aroma of citrus. Slightly sweet citrus taste, maybe some apricot. Decent but unexciting.

33cl bottle from Dranken Geers. Hazy amber red colour with very thin beige head. Woody aroma. It’s got some orangey type fruit in the mouth, with some malt to back it up. Unfortunately the woodyness dominates and makes it, if not unpleasant to drink, then less appealing.

Bottle from bu11zeye. Pours with an off-white head that goes revealing a clear golden body. Aroma of honey, caramel, light apricots, and coriander. Taste is coriander and yeasty with a citrus element that reminds me of kumquats. Light bubbles.
