Commissioned beer since 2011 for CVBA Zirvest. Off-white, stable head, colour of ’old gold’, clear. Pale malts in the nose, grassy hops, cookie dough, soap, old cheese and cardboard. Rounded grainy palate, sweetish, a bit chalk-like, yeasty, minerals, some alcohol noticeable in the finish, faint aromatic hops but no real bitterness. I don’t see the point in creating an ale which apparently has to look and taste like a bland standard lager. The flashy bottle was about the only pleasure I got from this.

sample (from 75 cl. bottle) @ Bierpassie Weekend XIII // bizarrely unmemorable beer, usually I can remember what beers tasted like but this one, outside of my notes, I am coming up with squat, I assume that it was really that bland // clear amber, okay lacing, white head // smells floral with sweet grains // yeast, grains, floral, some spices, sweet, white sugar, some floral bitterness // touch yeast & grains body // quite bland & dull // utterly inoffensive // lowest common abominator

29/VI/2012 - 75cl bottle @ Beer Passion Weekend (Antwerpen) - BB: n/a (2012-670) shared with 77ships

Clear blond beer, big creamy white head, unstable, pretty adhesive. Aroma: little yeasty, wort (brewery in action), little chemical, some citrus. MF: soft carbon, light body. Taste: bit of yeast, grains, metallic bitterness, wort. Aftertaste: metallic, yeast, grains, a little bitter yet unpleasant. But hey, a tick is a tick, right? :-o

Copperish-golden, clear, well-carbonated beer under medium white head. Spicy, yeasty nose; something salty, even fishy - lots of DMS? Dull malts, some toasted. Again many spicy-yeasty touches. Spicy associations are difficult to pinpoint, but some might be garlic-like. Very slight burning sensation, feels well carbonated. Medium body. Yeast-dominated beer, without much refinement. Utterly dull.

Bottled. A golden beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of straw and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of yeast, straw, and malt, leading to a dry finish.
