Bottle. Candi sugar aroma with notes of apple, pear, bready malt, caramel, toffee and spicy Belgian yeast. Pours deep brown with a finger of tan head that has excellent retention and lacing. Starts with bready malt, caramel, toffee and pear flavors as well as having a rich, full body and smooth, malty mouthfeel. Finishes smooth with Candi sugar, apple and spicy Belgian yeast flavors. Quite nice.

Bottle. Mitchell’s Wines. Hazed plum brown. Big old lasting lacing off white foam. Nose has yer Xmas cake mix in spades. Buttered banana bread. The fruit is in abundance. Taste is semi sweet. Nice vinous character. Good body throughout. Foamy carbonation. Nice nip of bitterness to finish. Great stuff.

Backlog September 2011. Amber body with a few floaters under a disappearing off-white head. Some caramel malt and dry fruit in aroma. Taste is sweet and malty with caramel, dry fruit, slightly spicy, Belgium yeast and hint of cellar notes. Fine body and pleasant aftertaste. Nice one, but not as god as the bigger brothers.

A 330ml bottle brought from the brewery. A sweetish fruity dark brown dubbel with hints of roast. Different bottle of beer in my home No. 1396

In my opinion, it is a regular beer, basical, but it is a good one, to start a night, typical a Begian amber beer, malty and dry, nuts, plum, 15.04.2018, buying probably at the bootlegger, Paris and drinking at Prélaz, Lausanne.

Bottle. A hazy, golden, nutty brown with a really nice frothy, bubbly head. Sediment on the bottom. Aroma was malty sweet with hints of very light spice and dried fruits. Taste is slightly sweet up front but full of very subtle but yet complex favors. Hints of fruit cake with well balanced finish.
