Dark brown colour, head quickly gone, gusher. Smells hops, fruity and sweet. Tastes bitter, hoppy and fruity. Full body, great co2.

Tasted this beer at Winterbierfestival Gouda 2011. Cloudy, hazy light brown color, small beige head. Don’t really like the smell, bit spicy or herbal to me. Firm carbo and body are nice though.[6-3-7-4-13/3.3] Re-rate at PINT Winterbierfestival Gouda 2012: Hazy dark orange color, small off-white color. Smell malts, sweet, hops. Taste lightly malty, hops, bitter. Very easy drinkable, good balance. Medium body. Definitely better than last year.

Bottle from Bier Koning. Cloudy brown beer, small cream coloured head. Dry palate. Malt and minerals. Trace of lactose and spice. Bland, dull & dissapointing!

33 cl bottle from De Bierkoning. Drinking this one day after Poolvos. Color is deep brown, with a beige (non lasting) head. Aroma’s are malty sweet, roasted and a bit herbal. Roasted flavor, sweet and somewhat bitter. Clearly fuller bodied than Poolvos. Fairly bitter finish. Quite nice.

On tap at ’t Arendsnest. Clear dark ruby brown colour, dense off white head. Aroma of dark fruits, caramel, bitter dark malts. Flavour is dark fruits, bitter chocolate, malts, caramel, a bit of alcohol, light bitter finish. Medium bodied. This is actually how I think the watered down version (Poolvos) should taste.
