Choosing our best Saison à la Provision from Foudre no. 1 and from a number of Chardonnay barriques, we then blended in a large portion of Lambic, imported from Belgium that has been aging at Burning Sky.

Tap at Salt Horse Bar. Pours unclear orange with a low head. Aroma is wild yeast, candy, citric fruit, lemon peel. Body is medium, dominant vinegary sourness, still citric fruit, leather, some stables. Strong carbonation. Dry palate, still fruity and sour. Good!

Sampled @ Van Moll Fest 2018. Hazy yellow color, average sized white head. Aroma is sourish, tart. Flavor is mainly tart, orange peel tartness. Distant bitter notes, unripe yellow fruit lightly too. Ok beer. 6-3-7-3-13.

Sampled from tap at Van Moll Fest 2018. Slightly hazy, golden yellow with a white head. Sweetish, sourish, fairly funky and quite fruity aroma of lemon, gooseberry, barnyard and horseblanket. Minimally sweet, medium sour, rather fruity and fairly funky taste of lemon, rhubarb, gooseberry, horseblanket and wood, followed by a short, medium tart, fairly dry, woody and funky finish. Thin to medium body, slightly astringent and gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very tasty!

Bottle. RAD Beer. Hazed, burnished gold. Thin and dense, lacing, lasting, white head. Nose has bretty, cheese cloth, funk. White wine dregs. Sour, white grape. Lemon juice and rind. Some pink grapefruit. Touch of banana and sweet grain. Taste is tart, vinous, and slightly drying. Plenty of grapefruit bitterness. Sharp, clean and dry on the palate. Spritzy carbonation. Drinks way easy, considering everything that’s going on. Tart, sharp and light bitterness to finish. Nice one. Lots to come here, too. Be interesting to crack one in a year or two.

Bottle shared at De La Senne. It pours hazy golden - orange with a quickly dissipating white head. The aroma is musty, funky, grape, barnyard, white bread, berry skin, grapefruit, vanilla, vinous, sherbet, gooseberry and oak. The taste is firmly dry, tart, tangy, lactic, good mouth - pucker, vinous, white grape, musty, gooseberry, granny smith apple, must, funk, bright acidity, earth and wood with a drying finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Good depth of flavour and funk. Tart, tangy and bright. Pretty tasty stuff.

On tap at BD57. A lightly unclear orange colored beer with a finger-thick off-white to white head. The aroma is funky and fruity, orange, some lemon and a touch of pale malts. It’s lightly sourish fruity on the palate, with only a touch of malt and an even smaller touch of malty sweetness. Funk, lemon notes and orange. It’s dry and tart on the palate, quite heavily carbonated, but in a well tasting way. Lasting fruity finish. Not a super-complex beer, but it’s refreshing as hell. 170611
