Cask at The Globe in Southwark. Light floral aroma. Deep amber color with a creamy white head. Starts lightly spicey, there’s a hint of sour earth, medium mouthfeel, very lightly sweet malt leading to the finish. Barely enough hop to qualify as a bitter, but it drinks wonderfully.

Cask, handpumped. Clear copper colored with a beige head. Aroma is weak, but fruity and malty with some hops. Fruity, citrus like flavor with malt and some caramel. Thin body but it’s hop-dominated, lightly dry finish.

Cask. Clear, copper-colored with a nice beige head. The aroma is weak, but fruity and malty with some hops in it. Fruity, citrus-like flavor with malt and some caramel. Thin body and a hop-dominated, lightly dry finish with some malt in the background. Give it more malt, I say. (060713)

Cask conditioned at the Red Lion, Wendlebury, Oxon, 16-07-06 . Poured a standard brown colour with a slight head and a hint of haze probably suggesting that this was maybe getting a bit tired in the cask. Not in the least bit impressed with this. It tasted a bit malty, bitterer than I remembered I considered taking it back but in truth it wasn’t off, had no vinergary notes to it and maybe is a different beer to how I recall it. I should try this again as I reckon the it tastes better picked up from a supermarket in a bottle than it did here A5 A3 F4 P2 Ov 7 . Cask, The Unicorn Hotel, Deddington, Oxon, 27-10-08 Pours deep reddy/amber in colour with white head. The aroma is quite maly with a touch of sweet dark fruits, like dates or similar. Taste is really quite uncomplicated, its fruity, sweet and malty, some dried fruits carry through some of the sweetness and it can get just a little tiring after a bit, but I felt a re-rate was in order as this wasn’t a bad pint at all. (Cask at Coach & Horses, Soho, London 23 Apr 2006) Dark copper to mid brown colour. Malty, fruity nose with sulphury sewage hints. Malty, fruity taste with nuts and dark cherries, fairly good bitterness in the finish. The initial sweetness becomes drier towards the end. Enjoyable, but not very exciting.

Cask@Lotsofpubs I like the maltiness of this. Sometimes when you just want an english bitter with a bit more to chew on, this comes out fine. Some hop to balance it and a nice darkish brown colour
