Natural blonde beer 100% barley malt, unfiltered, unpasteurized and refermented in the bottle. This beer is brewed only with the 4 basic ingredients (water, malt, hops, yeast). The 4 different hops used give it its very special character.

75cl bottle from Bierhalle Deconinck. Pours dark, as expected, with a large frothy tan topping. Aroma has roast, leather, liquorice, treacle notes. Taste continues a long a similar theme, big on the dark roasty sweet treacle vibe with distant woody coffee and additional cola moments. Gets a little watery and lifeless by the end. A 'dark saison' almost seems like an oxymoron. Replacing that sweet blonde complexion, with a darker appearance merely seems to take things towards a spiced christmas bock direction. No bad thing of course, but the saison label is perhaps misleading.

0,33 l bottle. Pours hazy golden with medium frothy off white medium lasting head and some yeast floating. Aroma is floral and grassy, dough, some straw, slightly peppery and some malt in the background. Taste is low sweet and medium bitter, quite dry. Body is medium, slick mouthfeel and carbonation average. Finish is quite long mellow bitter straw like flavor persists for a while. I miss more farmhouse like stuff, but still a very nice beer.

Thanks to kappldav123 for sharing. Black in the glass, with a dark beige head. Fruity roasted smell, some choco. Taste starts very roasty, more coffee than fruity. Not really my kind of stuff.

Many thanks to kappldav123 for sharing! Intense deep roasted burned beginning. Burned sugars, deep intense caramel on a nice refreshing carbonation. Roast, caramel, malt. Interesting refreshing for the depth of aroma, long intense malty roasted aftertaste, extremely light in taste for that intensity. Very nice.

75cl bottle out of the first BeerSeekerBox. Looks really good. But a gusher! Beer in the glass dark brown, huge head. Dry malty aroma. Starts mild, malty, salty notes, light sourish. Light hints of cocos. Finish dry malty with some soapy notes. Okay.
