33cl bottle, BB 08/2016. Ambrée, col léger et fin beige/café au lait. Arôme malté, grillé, cara, note de fruits noirs; cerise/cassis? Pointe aigre aspect sparadra/levure. En bouche, fruité noir rappelant des dates ou figues. Pétillant qui s’estompe vers la moitié de bouteille pour devenir quasi plat. Sucre brun, caramel sur une touche de malt biscuité, peut faire penser à un jeune barley. Au final pas mauvaise, on aurait pu atteindre le même résultat sans pour cela faire du 12%, pour une bière qui reste dure à cerner.

Murky dark brown-red color, no head. Strong berryish aroma - fermented wild strawberries. Full-bodied. Lots of berries, strawberries, very sticky and sweet. Strawberry jam. Some alcohol in the aftertaste. Fermented berry porridge.

33cl bottle shared with Joes. Clear medium to dark amber color, small white head. Smell fruits, I think cherry, and sweetness. Taste red fruits, some chemical cherry, sweetness. Very fizzy carbo, medium body.

A very temporary head can be formed by pouring to trappist glass from 20 cm above. Aroma is rather light for this style. It has some sugarish raisins, solvent and alcohol. Flavour has lots of solvent and alcohol. Behind those, some raisins and sweet malt appears. Also some hints of sourness that makes me wonder if this is a bit contaminated. Not very nice brew, the solvent-like alcohol comes through way too much.

Bottle at Bier Central. A hazy one, amber in color and with a small, off-white head. Slightly milky on the nose, very apricot-like, with generic fruityness. Yeast and alcohol too. The flavor is pretty much the same, fruity and slightly milky. Medium to full body, warming. A strange one, sort of off I guess. 110429

Sampled from bottle at SIB, pours golden caramel. Aroma of caramel. brown sugar and dark fruits. Flavour of caramel, brown sugar, maple syrup and slight dark fruits. Solid quad, but there are much better in the style.

Pours deep mahogany into a trappist glass. Off-white head crackles and recedes to hug rim leaving trailing sheets. Sour summer and pit fruit aromas. Full and sour/sweet upfront with summer fruit and dried fruit turning to a hot and dry prune finish.

Little cloudy brown beer with lots of residue floating around. Creamy light beige head, unstable, little adhesive. Aroma: sour cherries, pastry and unbaked dough, dried raisins and red currants, alcohol. MF: good carbon, medium body. Taste: sour apples, cherries, fruity in general, some earthiness as well. Aftertaste: some spices, more sourness, apple skin. Once again an infected beer from Gaverhopke. It's starting to get really boring.
