Courtesy of madmitch76. Pours dirty brown with thin white head. The aroma is whole cherries, dates, sugar sweet malts, sweet grapes and a sense of cinnamon. The taste is similar with dark fruitiness, sugar sweet slick malts and a bit of spiciness. I also get a dash of fruit skin tannin tartness to go along with the sweet fruity notes. Pretty tasty.

bottle, pours dark red, tall tan head. Sweet malt and spiced aroma. Roasted malt, a sour peach kind of flavor that turns bitter like chewing on a cinnamon stick. A moderate alcohol burn follows and lingers as it fades. Besides the alcohol burn, this is a fairly easy drinker, very similar to the bruine.

Pours a mostly clear dark red - fizzy head that disappears almost immediately - the nose is tart and fruity, with notes of sour cherry, raisin, dates, overripe apples - a tiny bit of metallic character is easy to ignore - starts tart and lightly acidic, with some vinous notes - this makes way for some toffee sweetness, candied fruits - the sweetness is persistent for a while, but it dries out for the finish, and a little bit of acidity returns - warming on the end, but the alcohol is well-hidden - decent, but somewhat thin for the strength.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a hazy orange-to-red body with a small off-white ring. Aroma of dark and rotting fruits, hop bitterness everywhere, alcohol and honey. Taste is sweet with lingering rotting fruits and a fair amount of acetaldehyde (green apple). Syrupy mouthfeel, light bubbles...

Labeled as "Extra," which is the American label. Pours thick dark brown with a short but long lasting head. Aroma is sweet prune with a hint of tropical fruit and alcoholic raisin. Taste is slightly alcoholic and slick black raisin bread. Goes down wel enough but a feeling of alcoholic heft is left behind with a sweet, dark fruits, aftertaste.

Bottle 33cl.Clear medium amber color with a small, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, raisin, drye prunes, brown suager. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. (010808)

Bottled. Amber colour, not much head. Aroma is fruits, wood and some alcohol and yeast. Flavour is fruits, alcohol and some slight notes of sourness. Though the alcohol is evident, the beer is still quite well in balance.
