Aroma of sweet malt, fruits and spices. Flavour is sweet, malty and fruity, with a moderate bittesweet finish. Decent and drinkable, but also very ordinary.

33 cl bottle at 't Deurp, Werchter. A hazy golden pour with some greenish highlights, under a tawny, thick head. Aroma is rather low: porridge, bread, orange, green olives. Tasty, fleshy, dry and powerful. Medium acidity (oh). No bitterness, abrupt finish. Some lemon tinges. Meh.

33cl bottle in Cambrinus, Brugge on 6th September 2022. Light haze to the golden amber body, full white crown sat on top. Yeasty, spicy and boozy, some malty sweetness too.

Smell-weak to medium, Belgian yeast, malt, faint caramel, yeast, sweetness, banana. Foam- thin, malt, hops, caramel, sweetness, sugar. Head is large, and white in color. Sticks. Appearance- generic dark green bottle cap, a simple label. From - pint Taste- malty, sweet, sugar, some Belgian yeast. Sweet, but a bit too sugary Belgian. Not bad, but feels simple and modified.

27 September 2021. At Cambrinus, Bruges. Cheers to Anke & my birthday!
Hazy ochre, stable, foamy, off-white head. Aroma of banana, ripe apple, thyme, vague coriander, wheat, dough, honey, jenever. Taste has sweet banana, apple & pear over honey-doughy maltiness with spicy phenols & soapy coriander. Floral hoppy finish, spicy, ripe yellow fruits and warming jenever-like alcohol. Medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Decent enough Tripel, but Broeder Jacob has better editions than this.
